This little known beauty is just 30 minutes from Brisbane. I did the 5.5km Gold Creek Reservoir Circuit which takes you around the dam through some secluded forest with the sound of bellbirds & other bird calls all around you. I went in an anti clockwise direction which involved walking across the dam wall/spillway to hook onto the track.

The Gold Creek Reservoir in Brookfield is a lovely 5.5km circuit walk around the reservoir through forest and scrub, with small streams, lantana & dense bush in parts and wildlife such as finches and noisy minors.
